As time goes on and we get more and more used to self-isolation, social distancing and working from home, we inevitably start to feel some strain.
As we go further into this pandemic, old struggles may have started to become more manageable. But at the same time, new struggles might have started emerging in recent days as the effects of social isolation start to make themselves known.
What felt easy last week might now feel impossible, or things we never thought would pose a problem have started to crippled our progress.
So today I want to invite you to share your experience of how you’re getting on as time goes by. The responses I get will all help feed into new coronavirus-related resources I’m creating, so thank you in advance.
So please, hit reply to this email and share your answer to a simple question: what are you finding the hardest about self-isolation?
Good luck.
I have extremely hard to work from home, I have bipolar disorder and some other mental health issues in which going to the Uni or to the laboratory was my coping mechanism, having to deal with my work and my personal issues at the same place have been difficult. I lack motivation and I can’t find myself writing what I need for my PhD.
Sorry to hear that. It sounds like a difficult journey. Have you reached out to your university/supervisors to see what they can do to help?
