When we’re up against deadlines, or when we’re rushed off our feet, we can often forget to take care of ourselves and looks after the basics.

If we’re not careful, we can see the daily self-care routines and habits that we’ve developed as dispensable when we’re short on time.

But it’s at precisely the times when you’re stressed and working hard that those self-care routines are most important. During these times, the worst thing you can do is let your guard down.

So no matter how busy you are, or how tight your deadline is, finding the time to do the things that keep you sane should be a priority. What those things are will differ from person to person – for some it’s a walk in the park, for others its journalling and meditating.

Whatever form they take, prioritise them. Self care is always important. Always.
